Girls WCAC Tennis Championship to Begin on November 5th

The WCAC Girls Tennis Championship Tournament was set to begin last week, however it was postponed due to weather...however it will continue tomorrow at Olney Manor Park.  The final day of the tournament will be at St. Paul VI Catholic High School on Sunday, November 7th.

Elizabeth Seton had the best regular season team in 2021, going a perfect 8-0 in team play.   Led by Lauryn Hall, Elizabeth Seton will also have Camille Hall and Lauryn Anderson holding the top seed in their brackets as well as the top seeds in the #1 doubles and #2 doubles brackets.  Seton is looking for their first league championship in school history.

St. Paul VI Catholic, who finished 2nd in the regular season league play with a 7-1 team record, narrowly lost to Elizabeth Seton 5-4.  They will have a number one seed, two number two seeds and a number three seed in the singles brackets.  They will also have a number one and two seed in the doubles bracket.   

St. John's has two second seeds in singles play and two third seeds.  They will also have a second and third seed in doubles brackets as well.  Bishop O'Connell (5-3) and Bishop Ireton (5-3) will also be contenders.
