Looking for the top Girl's Lacrosse...Nationally? You have found it in the WCAC

Good Counsel, Bishop Ireton, and Academy of the Holy Cross are top 20 schools in Girl's Lacrosse in two National Polls.

The WCAC is the place to be if you follow High School Girl's Lacrosse.  Not only in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, but in the United States.  Two national polls were recently finalized and the Good Counsel Falcons (the 2015 WCAC Champions) were #2 ranked in both of them, and the 2014 WCAC Champion Bishop Ireton Cardinals were ranked #3 in one and #4 in the other.

Also included in both these polls were the 2012 WCAC Champion Academy of the Holy Cross.  Holy Cross, who has been in multiple WCAC Championships over the past few years (including 2015), finished #7 in one National Poll and #17 in another.

The league featured a lot of outstanding and talented players who will have a strong influence on NCAA Women's Lacrosse, including Jenny Staines (2015 WCAC All Conference Player from Good Counsel) who will play for Monmouth College next season, Charlotte Sofield (2014 All Conference Player from Bishop Ireton, and a USA Today ALL USA First Team Selection…click HERE to see all the selections) who will play at University of North Carolina, and Jackie Branthover (Academy of the Holy Cross) who will play at Central Connecticut State next year.

Many WCAC players also were featured on the USA Lacrosse High School All-American's list, including 4 from Good Counsel and Bishop Ireton, and 2 from Academy of the Holy Cross.  You can find all the players listed under the "POTOMAC" region by clicking HERE.
