The first weekend of conference play in the WCAC had four big games. 

In the Capital Conference St. John's topped Bishop McNamara 34-13, boucing back from a tough matchup the week before with Cedar Grove (GA). Dematha continued to show defensive dominance against Gonzaga, surrendering the first points allowed since August and coming away with the 27-3 Victory. 

In the Metro Conference Archbishop Carroll picked up where they left off last season with a 42-14 win over Bishop Ireton. St. Mary's Ryken put on a dominate display beating Bishop O'Connell 41-3.
