When it was safe and when local regulations allowed, a dozen of St. John's quarterbacks and receivers began making a habit of preparing for a moment that might never have come. During the lost year of 2020 and into 2021, without organized fooball for the first fall since they were little, the Cadets met on the fields near RFK Stadium and threw the ball around with nobody watching.
