On Friday night the WCAC Football Championship Playoffs kick off with two great games.  In the Metro Conference, St. Paul VI Catholic Panthers (2-2 in WCAC, 7-3 overall) will travel to St. Mary's Ryken Knights for a 7pm start time.  Last month, St. Paul VI lost 37-20 to the Knights.   The Knights finished 3-1 in the WCAC and 4-6 overall.

In the Capital Conference, Good Counsel (2-2 in WCAC, 6-4 overall) will travel to PG Sports and Learning Complex to face the DeMatha Stags (3-1 in WCAC, 7-2 overall).  Game time will be 7:00pm.  These two teams played last week at Good Counsel with the Stags winning 28-0.

On Saturday, 2 more games are scheduled.  The undefeated Archbishop Carroll Lions will host Bishop O'Connell Knights in the other Metro Conference Semifinals at 1:00pm.  The Lions just completed a perfect regular season and are looking to get back to the Metro Conference Championship where they lost to St. Mary's Ryken in the 2019 Finals.

The other Capital Conference Semifinal game is SOLD OUT and will have Gonzaga Eagles travelling to St. John's for a 1:00pm kickoff.  The two teams played last week at Gonzaga, and St. John's held on for a solid win.  The Cadets are undefeated, finishing 4-0 in the WCAC and 9-0 overall.
