Since the beginning of October, Good Counsel girls' soccer has looked like it could compete with any area foe. On Sunday, the Falcons capped their impressive season with a 3-2 Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship win over St. John's, the defending league champions.
During the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A championship, Spalding fell to McDonogh 5-0, allowing Good Counsel to over take the top spot in this weeks rankings. The Falcons hold the top spot for the first time in four years. Defender Mia Bookhard scored twice and forward Chloe Chapman assisted on two goals during Good Counsel's victory.
