After the final buzzer sounded and the postgame handshake line was complete, the St. John's girls' basketball players walked toward their locker room.
As "All I Do Is Win" by DJ Khaled blared over the Northwest Washington gym's speakers Monday afternoon, some Cadets danced. Others gave out high-fives. Almost all of them smiled, pleased to have beaten McNamara, 55-49, on their home court.
That the No. 5 Mustangs twice pulled within three points in the final five minutes showed the depth of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, top-ranked St. John's players said.
