Good Counsel Boys' and Seton Girls' Capture 2016 WCAC Track and Field Championships

Led by junior Lauren Morgan, the Elizabeth Seton girls sealed a decade of dominance with their 10th consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship Saturday, posting a total of 183.50 points on the track at Good Counsel in Olney.

McNamara finished second with 122 while Good Counsel finished third with 110.50.

Morgan, who helped lead Seton to a record-breaking finish in the 4x200 meter relay in a time of 1 minute 40.03 seconds, won the 100 in 12.02 and claimed her third consecutive WCAC title in the 200, blazing to a 24.51 as the rain began falling harder.

"I just try to keep a positive mind-set knowing that we've run in weather like this all season," Morgan said. "It's rare for us to have a good day."

Seton senior Nina Crawford was a double winner in Friday's field events, notching a long jump of 17 feet 3.5 inches and taking the high jump title with a 5-4. Georgia Coleman (33-6), Maiya Chapman (31-8) and Tenyah Hall (30-7.25) swept the shot put for the Roadrunners, and the 4x100 team of Brianna Boston, Makayla Chapman, Illyana Logan and Johnae Rogers won in 49.10.
