The Gonzaga boys' lacrosse team was not fazed when St. John's scored four straight goals to tie the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship game in the fourth quarter Monday night.

To explain the Eagles' mind-set afterward, the word everyone seemed to use was "good."

It was a sort of mantra for this year's team, senior Brian Collins said. Before the season started, the Eagles listened to and talked about Jocko Willink's podcast, in which the retired U.S. Navy SEAL preaches the importance of finding good in every situation. Top-ranked Gonzaga used Willink's words as inspiration to fend off St. John's, 8-6, in a dramatic title game at Ludwig Field in College Park.
