Gonzaga's boys' lacrosse coaches and players stewed about their late overtime loss to Georgetown Prep on March 16 throughout last weekend in preparation for what was supposed to be a midweek game against Bishop Ireton.

But inclement weather postponed the contest Thursday, so the No. 6 Eagles were left to dwell on the loss.

It served as motivation as they shoveled snow off their field to return to practice, and it wasn't far from their minds when they finally returned to action against No. 1 Bullis on Saturday night.

After beating the Bulldogs, 11-8, aided by junior attack Kurt Bruun's game-winner with less than six minutes left, Gonzaga's players hollered in celebration on their run back to the locker room while Eagles Coach Casey O'Neill took a deep breath.
