It took only a few minutes Tuesday night for the Gonzaga basketball team to prove it wouldn't be slowed by DeMatha or anything else.

In this increasingly hectic boys' basketball season, Tuesday's meeting of Washington Catholic Athletic Conference powers in Northwest Washington provided an evening that felt both foreign and familiar.  In a battle of the top-ranked teams in the D.C. area, the No. 1 Eagles jumped all over the No. 2 Stags and led by double digits most of the way in an 87-73 victory.
