And on Sunday, in DeMatha's WCAC semifinal against O'Connell at Bender Arena, the junior guard took one big step closer to achieving his goal. Moore led all scorers with 34 points in DeMatha's 74-63 win, sending the Stags to face Gonzaga in Monday's title game at 8 p.m. on the same court.

"A year ago, he had a big knee brace on and couldn't do anything," DeMatha Coach Mike Jones said. "He's the type of kid that won't quit when he's so hungry, and he works so hard, and tonight was one of those nights that no matter what was happening, he was going to will us to a win."
