As Sunday's game against St. John's entered the final minute with the score tied at 49, Gonzagaforward Myles Dread had possession and barreled toward the hoop, leaning into his defender, hoping to create space for a shot that would put the Eagles ahead.

But Dread couldn't muster much room. He looked back and saw guard Chuck Harris standing open beyond the arc. The decision was simple. The senior rifled a pass to the sophomore, and Harris caught it, shot it and watched it fall through the net.

It was the go-ahead score in No. 2 Gonzaga's 55-50 home win over the No. 6 Cadets in Northwest Washington, a meeting of the past two Washington Catholic Athletic Conference champions.
