The WCAC Football Playoffs are finally here!  Will Gonzaga and St. Mary's Ryken repeat as Champions, or will St. John's, DeMatha, Paul VI and Archbishop Carroll step up and knock them off.

Games begin tonight, when Gonzaga travels to Good Counsel.  Both teams finished 2-2 and it was Good Counsel that prevailed in that thrililng 5 overtime game back in October at Good Counsel.

On Saturday, a full slate of games will be played.  perhaps the most intriguing one will be DeMatha at St. John's.  The Cadets, who finished 4-0 in the WCAC Regular season, had to come back in all four of their regular season victories.  Three of them on the last drive.  That game will be at 1:00pm at St. John's.

In the Metro Conference, Paul VI (2-2) will travel to Archbishop Carroll (3-1) for a 1:00pm kickoff with both teams fighting to make their first championship appearance in a very long time.  Carroll won the regular season matchup 46-15.

The last game of the weekend will be the current Metro Conference Champions hosting Bishop O'Connell at 3:00pm, in a rematch from last year's championship game.  Ryken won the regular season game 49-0 and hope to get back to Catholic University with a victory.

The winners will square off for the Capital and Metro Conference Championship at Catholic University on Sunday, November 24th.  Metro Conference kickoff will be at 1:00pm and the Capital Conference Championship will start at 6:00pm.
