ICE HOCKEY Playoffs Begin Today! (Monday, February 11th)

Yes, that is correct!  The WCAC now has Ice Hockey as one of its Official Sports in which they will crown THREE Champions this week.

 

The Girl's Championship Game, which will be played on Wednesday, February 13th at Rockville Ice Arena (4:20p) will be Holy Cross vs St. John's.  There will be a $10 charge for admission.

 

The Metro Conference Boy's Championship Playoffs begin today.  Paul VI will travel Laurel to face Good Counsel at 3:30pm.  Tomorrow (2/12), Bishop Ireton will travel to Waldorf Capital Clubhouse to face St. Mary's Ryken at 4pm.  The winners of these two semi-final games will play on Friday night at Laurel (Logsdon Rink) at 5:30pm.

 

The Capital Conference Boy's Championship Playoffs begin on Tuesday, February 12 at Rockville Ice Arena with an intense matchup between Bishop O'Connell and St. John's at 4:00pm.  These two teams played twice during the year with St. John's winning 2-1 earlier in the season and the teams posting a 2-2 tie last week.  


In the other semifinal matchup, Gonzaga will travel to DeMatha Catholic.  The game is at Laurel and will be played on Wednesday, February 13th at 4pm.  The winners of these two semifinal matchups will play on Friday night at Laurel (Patrick Rink) at 5:50pm.
